A Windy Day

As I mentioned in the previous post, it was really windy on Thursday.  Luke was attempting to fly his kite in our front yard, but we decided we would head to the park after supper and do some flying.

Of course, once Luke got to the park, he forgot about the kite and just wanted to play!



And so did this one!  (Seriously, look how big she is getting! ::sigh:: )

Luke isn't really a huge fan of swings generally, but this night, he was loving it.  His giggle was the best sound I have heard in a long time!!!

 Back to the playground we went!

Oh and guess what, we finally did fly the kite!

New Toy

Yesterday, we opened up the riding toy Paige had gotten for Christmas.

She gave me this big smile the second I put her on it!

 

She loved it!



Luke really wanted to push her, but I thought we would start slow and just have her play with it in the grass.







Paige made sure to check out every bit of it!





Luke of course had to get out his very first riding toy too!



Then they did some exploring of the new toy together!

Here comes Big Brother zooming down the driveway!



Put on the brakes!!!

Paige is always watching Luke!



Luke tried so hard to carry all of his baseball equipment at one time.  He was having a hard time but refused to let me help!



She's back on and happy!


 

But then she tried to get off on her own - not so graceful!



He's ready to play!



We quickly decided though that it was a kite day - it was sooo windy!





 

Paige had a seat and watched her brother run back and forth on the sidewalk with his kite!



 



 

The best place to fly a kite though is the park so we waited for Daddy to get home and off we went!  More pics to come!

A Few Lasts and a First

Saturday was the last day of swimming lessons.  Luke went under the water 3 times!  He wasn't thrilled about it, but he did it!





 

Saturday was also Wally's last baseball game with the freshman for the year.  We lathered on the sunscreen, parked ourselves under a tree, and had a picnic while we watched the game.







He loves his fruit!











Luke found an "L"-shaped stick - he was excited!


Lots of water for everyone!

This family is loving some chex mix right now!


The best part of the game for Luke was when it was over and he got to ride on the bus with the coaches and players back to the school!

Saturday was also the first day we got out the sprinkler and slip-n-slide for the year.











 

Luke wasn't so sure about the slip-n-slide at first so Daddy showed him how it is done!



 



He was more interested in playing in the puddle at the end.

 

Look who woke up for her nap and joined us!

 

 



Check out her leg!  She kept lifting it up and pointing her toes!!!

  





We ended the night with some hot dogs on the grill and ice cream sundaes!
